File Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing for Heritage

We convert digital meshes and technical scans into high-fidelity physical replicas, merging industrial 3D printing technologies with rigorous surface finishes in our workshop.

At Ineo, we act as an industrial supplier for museums, archaeologists, cultural institutions, and digitization studios. We do not perform in-situ scanning or data capture tasks, but rather centralize the operational process in our manufacturing plant. We receive CAD files or textured three-dimensional meshes and assume their mechanical preparation. Through file engineering, we correct polygonal meshes, guarantee minimum structural thicknesses, and adapt designs for production.

We combine technologies such as laser sintering with a post-processing and painting line capable of replicating textures of historical interest. The result is physical reproductions with micrometric precision ideal for exhibition, research, or universal accessibility.

Engineering and Optimization of 3D Files

We receive digital files from external scans and process them in our technical office. We analyze complex geometries, repair corrupt polygonal meshes, and perform virtual reconstructions of fragmented areas based on client specifications. We scale each element micrometrically to guarantee total structural and mechanical viability before sending the final files to the production line at the plant.

Structural Segmentation and Technical Breakdown

To reproduce monumental elements or large-format architectural structures, we plan their fragmentation in the engineering office. We design a modular breakdown system with internal fits and hidden mechanical joints. This allows the manufacture of large-volume pieces in our industrial 3D printers, ensuring a robust, precise, balanced, and perfectly aligned assembly during final installation in their destination space.

Additive and Technological Materialization

We translate the digital twin into reality using industrial 3D printing systems such as SLS, MJF, and SLA, alongside other complementary manufacturing technologies. We select the technical material according to the mechanical and aesthetic requirements of the project: fine-grained polyamides to simulate high-resistance stony or ceramic surfaces, or photosensitive resins to capture microscopic scale details in reliefs, coins, or complex filigrees.

Post-Processing and Workshop Treatment

The final phase is executed in our finishing area, where we treat the surface of the pieces to adapt the result. Our team applies industrial techniques combined with priming processes, precision sanding, aging patinas, and polychromies. We develop textured or metalized finishes that reproduce the visual appearance and brilliance of bronze, marble, carved wood, or terracotta.

Advanced Technologies Applied

Manufacturing technologies that optimize every detail of technical manufacturing and modeling:

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

Industrial manufacturing via powder fusion that grants a natural micro-granulated finish, ideal for emulating stony, osseous, or high-durability ceramic textures.

Image

High-Definition Stereolithography (SLA)

Production based on liquid photosensitive resins that allows capturing micrometric reliefs, historical jewelry, and ornamental elements with strict dimensional tolerances.

Image

CNC Machining and Hybrid Systems

Material removal via computerized milling for the creation of exhibition bases, internal structural supports, or geometries requiring high physical rigidity.

Metalizing and Chemical Coatings

Application in a technical cabin of surface treatments that confer optical properties, reflections, and textures identical to real metals on printed polymers.

Benefits for Customer

Preservation without direct contact: We work externally from digital data; the original artwork remains protected in its location without risks of manipulation or aggressive molds.

Absolute dimensional scalability: Possibility to miniaturize an entire archaeological site for study rooms or enlarge an imperceptible fragment for detailed visual analysis.

Durability in public exhibition: The industrial materials used ensure that exhibited pieces withstand environmental wear and continuous interaction without degrading.

Rigorous aesthetic fidelity: The union of digital metrology and manual post-processing achieves replicas visually faithful to the original, respecting the provided graphic documentation.

Use Cases / Applications

Museum Replicas for Exhibition: Production of exact physical clones to exhibit to the public in display cases or rooms, allowing high-value original pieces to be guarded in conservation vaults.

Typhlological Accessibility Models: Development of tactile models and relief maps with differentiated textures, designed for visually impaired people to interpret heritage elements through touch.

Scientific and Academic Study Models: Manufacture of exact reproductions of anthropological remains or fossils for free handling, transport, and research in laboratories and universities without danger of fracture.

Reconstructions of Elements for Restoration: Materialization of lost parts or missing architectural fragments to test their exact physical fit before performing definitive interventions on the real monument.

Custom Exhibition Supports and Bases: Design and manufacture of display structures adapted micro metrically to the geometry of the original piece, ensuring its stability, maximum safety, and an invisible aesthetic integration in display cases or museum rooms.
